New gardens at Worsley

      Brilliant, the RHS said earlier this year they were looking for a 5th garden more in the centre of England. Looks like a good choice.

        Unfortunately this monstrosity is also going to be built on the site - truly hideous :wallbanging:

          Yeuk, that is ugly - wonder if it's anything to do with the RHS though?

          It's being built by Peel Holdings who own the land and who are involved in the RHS project.

          "Asked if the RHS had actually purchased the site from landlord Peel, an RHS spokesman said the terms of the deal “remain confidential”.


          They previously applied for planning permission to build a racecourse there, which was turned down.

          The gardens/hotel deal seems like a compromise and although I'm not against the hotel in principle, that design is awful and would look so out of place next to the beautiful gardens :frown:
