    Thats a good result.

    I've got a self sown pea plant growing in my spring cabbages, it's starting to flower so I might get one or two pods before it turns really cold. I've never thought to try a realy late crop of peas. They do seem to be hardy.

    .

    Very good, my late sown peas (all sorts,end of packets) always end up with mildew on plants and peas, so I have to pull them out.

    But each year, I keep trying!

    Ps

    Question ,how do I punish my Wife?

    Answer . bring up from the plot a couple of buckets or so of peas in their pods for her to pod!

    PPs,
    Further question, does it bother her?

    further answer, she is in her element!

    :gnthb::hehe: :hehe:

    Gardeners World were sowing all the old seeds - including peas - to cut as seedlings for a garnish. My DW thought that was a terrific idea for sandwiches for work. I ... ever the kill-joy ... said that sowing seeds every 4 days to just harvest the cotyledons was a dreadful waste. Another chore ducked :thumb:

    Blimey hope they stressed that some seed sprouts can kill you.

    I think I sowed the mange tout in august, not a huge crop but a welcome flavour at this time of year.

    Just picked a monster parsnip to give to my daughter, she took one look at it & said wow, that could be the main course on its own.

    "Blimey hope they stressed that some seed sprouts can kill you."

    I can't remember, to be honest, but I expect they must have done. They were all vegetable seeds that I can remember ... probably those would be safer than eating, say, Yew-sprouts!
