OK, I guess I have to get some, otherwise the biggest thread on GC is a closed book to me!

So ... where do I get some, and which ones (varieties?) do I want to start with?

Plants on eBay seem to be £11.90 to £14.45 (inc. postage), Seeds are £2.00 up to £3.50

Will Seeds do me for starters?

    Hi Kristen

This is my first year growing Brugs. I got some seeds on the Seed Swap thread. Little Miss Road Rage is doing a brilliant job running it. About six of the seeds have germinated so far. I suppose I shall have to find out what I do with them next :hehe:

Feed them once a week Shiney and just keep potting them on they will grow quickly, from seed they will only flower once the main stem has forked which can be when they are 5-6ft high, the flowers are after the fork.Any cuttings taken off the plant above the fork and grown on will flower this year, seeds grown from now may not flower this year.
Kristen if LMR has no seeds left drop me your addy, she should have some Arborea seeds and some Suaveolens crosses you may want to try the Daturas (brug cousins) as well.

    Thanks walnut,

I've passed the instructions to Mrs shiney :gnthb:. How long do you reckon it will take for them to get to 5ft?

Shiney the Suaveolens with once a week feeding and good watering 4-5 months,if it's the Arborea they are not so greedy once a fortnight feed and they don't mind it a bit cooler don't let either of them bake in full sun in mid summer.

I'm getting a headache:flag:We've got two Brug threads running again. All too much for a "bear of little brain".:(

Might it be possible to have a section just for Brugs and Dats:scratch:.

    Pretty please, Lady.:)

Pretty please, with little pink ribbons:luv:

"We've got two Brug threads running again"

I specifically asked this question in a separate thread in order to get some beginners advice. Sorry if that same information is in the main thread, but I didn't have time to read the whole thread.

To draw an analogy: I answer questions on Tomatoes most days this time of the year ... I think it helpful that they are in separate threads so that the different nuances of the questions can be more easily read by people seeking specific answers via Google, say, and I don't feel a particular need for a Tomatoes Only section :)

Hi Kristen. I'm a beginner compared with walnut:ntwrth::). So, I think, are most of us. It's just that the brug thread is the first I check and then I find that I have to check two threads. I learn something new each time.:) It all might as well be on one thread. I must try to "draw an analogy" I usually draw busses and cars with the g-children, never tried an "analogy":D

Caj you can break the word down to make it more understandable "anal" and "ogy" words ending in "ogy" usually mean the study of as in biology or geology so it means the study of "anal" but I wouldn't know how to draw it either.:lollol::lollol:

Yes, but you've almost got an 'ology' so you must be smart! :hehe:. I know it's actually an alogy so I hope it isn't catching as it seems to be an uncomfortable place to get it :rotfl:

walnut, instructions noted :gnthb:. Do they need a particular food?

Rather than being one of Maureen Lipton's "Oh!" You've got an Ology":) it's from "Ana" and "Logy" from the Latin and Greek Analogia which derives from Ana and Logos - you are probably getting it already, Ana is Speech, Logos (Logic, get it?) is Reckoning.

For a definition of Anal you need to look elsewhere :)
