I'm going to have a go at a Tomtato Freddy:rolleyespink:.....can't resist....it's getting the right size scion to fit that is going to be the hardest part...at the moment i just can't imagine stem size from the 'Rooster' potato to know when to sow the toms...so it's a case of sowing the odd tomato at intervals and hoping i get it cracked:thumbsup:...

Pah! Suttons manage to graft two scions onto one rootstock ... actually ... how DO they do that?

                I assume it means:
                • Twice the money
                • Half the greenhouse plant-raising space
                • Half the selling space [in Garden Centre]
                ??

I have, for some time, wondered why we grow Single Cordon, rather than Double Cordon, for Tomatoes. Would save some plant-rearing space in the crowded Spring growing period ...

P.S. Suttons have a number of "Twins" in their grafted tomato plant range, if anyone is interested :)

F1 Orangino/F1 Florryno - A red cocktail tomato on one stem and an orange cocktail tomato on the other.

Florryno/Zebrino - A cocktail-sized red tomato on one stem and a cocktail-sized, dark red, stripy tomato on the other stem.

Orangino/Zebrino - An orange cocktail tomato on one stem and a dark red, stripy cocktail tomato on the other stem

Interesting @Kristen .....Talk about getting above my station :doh:but that is something else i fancy trying ....2 grafts.....my idea was Gardeners Delight and Golden Sunrise on a Rooster potato:whistle:

When i've read up on the 2 graft tomato method i've only seen it done by using the first two side shoots on the root stock....
My 'root stock' being the potato i'm curious to see if it's possible to graft on to that the Gardeners Delight then when it reaches 2/3 trusses grafting a Golden sunrise on top of that:rolleyespink:
