Thanks @JWK ,Oh hell, just home and hoping to put my feet up. Best go out and get picking what's left, I had a nasty feeling if they got frosted they'd be no good.
These are what I picked this morning, most of them will ripen as they have turned colour, be it only slightly in some cases. There is about the same again of totally green ones so best get a move on! The blue containers are 2 litre ice cream tubs so there are quite a lot!

      Cor, good crop @silu

Still amazed that you and Jack can grow them under the 2 mile thick ice sheet that covers Scotland :)

Had to pick my outdoor tomatoes in the dark this evening, was at work so couldn't get home quick enough. With us I would be surprised if we do get a frost as it's 10C and cloudy/drizzly, but I've picked all the veg that is tender, a few sweet corn cobs and a hand full of runner beans.

Didn't have frost last night, down to 4C but still cold enough to stop any left outdoors growing any more. I switched on the heating in the greenhouse just to keep my last few plants ticking over.

Snap @JWK. Really surprised but not quite a frost must have been near tho. Didn't need to have bothered to go out with a flaming torch and pick the 2 carrier bags full of green toms and stub my toe in the process:doh:. Doing well, what with my finger sporting a large bandage post Swede carving and now a toe which I am positive is was glowing in the dark last night after being bashed I'm just waiting for the 3rd injury:yikes:.

I recorded minus 0.5 deg C at 7:30, would have been around minus 1 deg C around dawn. Cracker of a frost on car windscreens within the village where temps were over 2 degrees higher.

Nah, only about 6 months or so until the next crop, but still far too long.

I've cleared out the Green House and the Tomato haulm has gone on the compost heap while the compost in the buckets have been spread onto the borders.:dunno::snorky:

Picked the last 3 Plum Tomatoes, plant in the middle of the greenhouse has survived the frost and has got flowers on it so might try a coldframe within the greenhouse and see what the winter brings.

All my plants are now on the compost heap but have taken @shiney's advice and now have 3 Chilli plants in the upstairs bathroom (sunniest room in the house). They are looking really well atm and chillies ripening nicely. The green Sungolds have mainly been chutnied but I am very surprised that what is left (stuck in a cupboard with no banana or any other ripening aid) are ripening remarkably well.

The last ones from 2016. They may be old and wrinkly, but are still usable.
