Pickings from the polytunnels are rapidly diminishing, one tunnel has now been cleared out, hardly any left on the plants in the other one, now getting cherry toms from up to 8th truss and up to 6th on the Shirleys, hardly any green tomatoes left to ripen, but it is almost November. Going to sauce a whole load of well ripe beefsteaks and Shirleys this afternoon.

                          Top job scrungee :dbgrtmb:

Not been up the Lottie in 2 weeks... :yikes: off up now to clear out the polytunnel. Sad times.

Before I go though, any reuse value on the spent compost? Plan was to chuck it on my beds? Will having blight affect whats there?

As long as you not got any Solanacea growing in the beds it'll be fine :)

Burn the blighted plants though :paladin:

And, another 4 days later, today's pickings, 3 deg C forecast for the local town Monday morning, so will be freezing (or below!) at my edge of village plot. Hardly any toms left to ripen, I've closed the tunnels right up to try and speed up ripening |(not worried about mould at this late stage) and will pick every last one on Sunday.

My plums. I got about 30 to 40 on each plant, only lost one to BER and now have only 1 or 2 left on each plant.
