      I'm from the Midlands originally so I know what you mean - I remember having to dig my car out of snow drifts in the street, and no one knew who's car was who's. Now we have to drive up to Dartmoor if we want to see snow, and it's not there often, and I do miss it.
      The mild climate has its drawbacks - the horrid bugs never die and the vile lime-green plant munching caterpillars are huge! :hate-shocked:

      Try SW France.....all the disadvantages of everywhere and I'm still trying to discover the advantages! :roflol: If Bacillus thuringiensis is available in UK, it sorts out all and every caterpillar without harming other wildlife. Can be used as a preventative and a cure.

      Tara - its an excellent nursery. Probably not a lot of bananas, but they have a loads of unusual tender plants. You can see a lot of the range on the internet - but the prices are all lower on site.

      Erm, I looked, ha ha! I will go over as they have a couple of abutilon I want, but I couldn't see any bananas. They have some really stunning unusual plants.

      Tara - I have bought Maurelii from them, and I think I have seen Basjoo there too. But its really a matter of what they have at the time.
