I could not find Thomas the tank engine anywhere... I think he must have been booked in for a days work pulling passengers somewhere as the fat controller was nowhere to to seen either....

You are correct about not going out for trip today..
I ventured out to the library this morning and it started to rain on the way home. But I have managed to get a few pictures for the GC competitions:thmb:
Looks like another afternoon tucked up with the lap top and practising my photoshop skills.:)

Brings back memories, went to the NRM a few years ago and the North York moors, I remember camping at Goathland with the Scouts in the 60's, the Fylingdale 'golf balls' were always intriging.
    Keep them coming.:thumb:

Robert has another grand day out.
Well. today was a first for me.
A visit to the City art gallery.
I have to say I did enjoy the experiance.
I found myself looking very closely at paintings to take in all the detail and a lot of them told a story.
The following I hope will give you a brief look into York City art gallery.

One of the many galleries. this one was fun as comments could be chaulked onto the blackboard that surrounds the whole room.

Check out the guy being tossed overboard with an anchor attached

    Harvest time
    [IMG]

    This fascinated me
    [IMG]

Check out the details in this. Its the unveiling of a portrait. the artist is the on the far right. Everybody else is passing comment.
Check the big choc cake on the left.

I have cropped in to look at the detail on the same painting
    [IMG]

    Map head...

I hope you have enjoyed the mini tour.
If you are ever in York and are into a bit of art then go for it.
Good news is its all free!
My next grand day out will I hope be to the Yorkshire Museum. I shall probable have a couple of hundred pictures from there.
