I will update later when I wake up!

Question though .. how long does flowering take after budding please?

          Ok,will do later.
The flowers don't take long once the buds form 2 weeks perhaps, I've never really thought about it.
Good to hear you have flower buds.

Yes. I am treating mine like my Hibiscus now and they seem to be doing well.

The buds are on the "straggly" one ...

This is Toby, the one in the poor picture above ...

(he has a few burnt leaves where water splashed in the sun).

This is where I am keeping them now where they get full sun at times ...

Bases of the two big ones ...

I read on an Adenium Forum that you only get a caudex if done from seed not cuttings. I guess my about-to-bloom one was a cutting.

I can believe that might be the case.
I've had a few attempts at cuttings but never managed to get them to root.

The other plant I had, which was a much better flowering plant than the one I have now, I managed to rot it off by repotting too early a couple of years ago.
I tried cuttings of that as a last resort.

The one I'm left with I repotted yesterday, it had been in the same pot for a number of years and due to the pot shape I had to break the old pot to get it out.

                  Its getting surprisingly heavy now.

Lovely pot. I think I remember seeing your other in full bloom.

I was reading earlier about repotting and something about putting it a couple of inches taller than the soil.

Yes, I think some people pot them a bit higher each time to slowly expose a bit more of the caudex but I wasn't really that bothered, its quite large as it is.
As it said in that article, they do take on a miniature Baobab appearance.
