    Hey gang,

Novice gardener here! I'm gonna be doing some gardening this w/e, so need advice on pruning my plants - or is it too early?

I've got roses, budjelia's & lavender - which all seem to be green and healthy still (lavender is looking a little bit woody) - do I need to prune them/cut them down, and how do I do it?

    Thanks guys!

:) Hello Smallflower.......you will grow on here :D WELCOME.

As a general guidline.........Reduce the roses by a third to stop windrock over winter then prune properly in February.
Buddleja tidy up after flowering then prune hard in March.
Lavender prune after flowering to about 1" above old wood and or early to late Spring.
