I have to admit. At my, 'young age' I am getting tired of all this news.. Sad news. This pandemic is really serious and, Yes it threatens all us, young and old. Yes we need to be kept informed, and after all said and done. Common sense dictates that to follow advice is the sensible thing to do.

However, stop and think. What advice.Briefly. This Covid virus really is a bolt out of the blue. There have been many pandemics in the past, but somehow, mankind has survived. This Covid virus. Pres. Trump claims is some kind of chemical warfare, developed by the Chinese. Think about it. An old saying. You don't ***t on your own doorstep. The Chinese also suffered. In fact. The virus has been traced back to Bats. The open markets in China where they have some strange animals on their menue, may well be the source. Our problem today is, IMO. The media and reporting of all of this. Add to that, the total utter guesswork by the politicians. Their heads togertherness. That's a good idea etc, but failure to think it through. We the public now don't know what to believe. So attitudes are changing, and not for the best. Drink, eat and be merry. For tomorrow we may die. Honestly. What else is there.?

On the Brexit issue. The EU scene is very much a game of bluff. Other EU members are considering leaving. The Fins are in support of us. Italy is considering leaving. Germany, the biggest cash supporter is having doubts. Logically all this who-har about tariffs. There is not a single country on this planet is 100% self supporting, independant. If push comes to shove. Inside the union, fights will soon break out when, due to restrictions etc, they can't sell their produce. This legal wranggling over breaking agreements. That could go on for donkey's years.

Local news this morning, a lorry driver has been charged with smuggling illegal immigrants OUT of Britain.
Just shows how bad things are getting here now.
I'm getting a rubber boat at the weekend, just in case people panic buy them.

The grass is always greener... I know a fellow who is upset because he has been living here and working for cash for about the past 6 years. The immigration people caught up with him and he is soon to be deported. Back to England. I don't know how he got found out but I suspect that he got into a fisty cuffy with someone and they grassed him. I don't know why he thought it's any better here. I think our standards of living are pretty much the same. :dunno:

Well, final round of negotiations ended without agreement. Boris is video conferencing Ursula this afternoon - could be right now.

Looking forward to the press conference.

Since 11pm, 29 March 2019, the UK has paid the EU £18,624,893,086.36. This could've paid for 206 new hospitals, 809,777 nurses, 706,800 policemen, or even the repair of 351,413,077 potholes. A single pile of what we've paid in £20 notes would be 65.39 miles tall.
