    That may well be true FC, but how much of it would we have got back?

    I agree probably less than we paid in.
    And to be honest, do you really think we would have had 206 new hospitals or even had one single pothole repaired.

    I still want to leave but I dont think the money side of it all is that simple.:smile:

      Oh, it definitely isn't, but bear in mind that the date of 29th March 2019 was the original date we should have left the EU.

        They did a bit on the lunch time news about the sticking points in the negotiations, fishing being a big one.
        One french fisherman said half his catch has always been from British waters and another said three quarters of his catch of crabs always comes from British waters, as far as Northern Scotland.

        Add to that three quarters of our catch is exported to the EU and you can see why fishing is a big sticking point.
        Apparently we are offering them 80% of their normal catch for the first year, slowly decreasing in subsequent years, but that is not good enough for Macron, he wants total access.

        One French fisherman said 80% is better than 0%, but added, we have blockaded Calais before..............................

        Macron is a tool. He's more concernd with re-election and the big fishing industry area happens to be where he wants to pick up points come election time.
        So where else can the UK sell their catch? Spain, Portugal, Norway?

                          He is a nasty piece of work @ARMANDII - him and Guy Verhofstadt post some really inflammatory stuff on social media. I think that they genuinely believe that by doing so that they will change people's minds.... they seem to wholly underestimate the psyche of the British people, because all they have achieved is to make us more and more sure of our decision.
