was in my local aldi yesterday and noticed by the door there were some shrubs/perennials reduced to 99p so had a rummage and bought a couple of the best ones. I always want to buy them all as they are so unloved! anyway at the checkout i mentioned the unloved factor and the assistant told me they are not allowed to water them once they have been delivered. For h and s reasons in case staff or customers slip on water!!! a sure case i think of using h and s as a means of not doing something . LOL

Blessing in disguise imo. I don't buy plants from places like that unless they are severely reduced.

I only buy on the day they arrive in store, or next day at a push.

That, as someone who has worked in retail and does quite a bit of operations consulting is totally retarded. They're stocking a product that will definitely get binned. Don't care how much you reduce them by, a large percentage will be waste.
