    Thank you!

I was thinking of creating an email, adding every email address on the Salford council website and all the Eccles councillors in, so it's easier to email them everyday all at once.

Kyle...I'd start ringing the police everytime it started...i know a lot can't be done apart from them going round and having a word (if it's unsocial hours) but if you do it everytime it starts no matter how many times it happens through the night surely they'll get fed up too;):dbgrtmb:

I can understand your frustration, but you must resist the urge to go around there, with any form of aggressive stance, they will only try and use it against you.

Stay positive, give the council the details they need, and keep badgering them until it gets resolved.

So today the landlord and his wife came round about it all.

Guess what? my texts which she claimed were 'vile', despite not including a single swear word (I text them updates, like the councillor ringing me, etc) was keeping them awake! she even claimed she was close to going to the police, how cute.

Also, they claim the tenants are 'nice people' and they want me to be friends with them, guess it's so they have someone who can turn their music off. The offer of a friendship was declined.

so sorry to read what been happening , it must be a nightmare I have had scum neighbours who turned a lovely avenue into a war zone at times with kids out of control let alone the parents , it takes more than one to complain/point out and like you have found out people will moan to each other but don't want to get involved, but like others have said keep reporting it with police etc and councill I would even wright to your MP or found out when he/she has a open surgery and speak to them face to face I done that and amazed how quickly things turn around in your favour , I am glad you have the phone number so pester the landlord each time it happens , I hope she does tell the police you are the people that are having to put up with all the noise etc imagine the police wont be so happy .

            Thanks for your advice, Spruce!

I think they're trying to turn the tables, by bringing up our angry texts, which again, didn't contain swear words but apparently were 'vile'.

I think you have hit a nerve with them so good on you KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK :ccheers: keep texting.

In one of my houses many moons ago I had a small lane that ran along the side of my house I saw them (scum) dump a hoover went out and told them to shift it which they didn't so I went and got it and dumped in her garden !!! well actually on her garden path and it smashed into several parts and I will never forget getting the thumbs up from the 83/84 year old couple that lived right next door to them who were watching it all happen in the front window.
The Avenue was a mixture of private and Council it took 12 months but they got shifted in the end as other houses started to moan about all the noise etc.

Dont get me started !!!! So three houses later NO LANES , NO SHARED DRIVES I could rant about that ....., NO CORNER HOUSE , and don't put up with any manure and I MOAN MOAN MOAN to the Council, Police, MP I pay my taxes and get very little back.

Sounds like a proper battle now. As your landlord has made his position clear now, you need to put yourself in his shoes, in order to be able to pre-empt what resistance you might meet.

So, why might the landlord be trying to turn the tables? Well, the obvious answer is that if the council intervenes to force an eviction of his tenants, then he will lose out on rent. Therefore he may choose to try to paint you in a bad light to make it look like it is you who is out of order. This is why, if possible, you should get the other neighbours on side.

Whoa...heckels seriously up now...how dare they after what you've had to put up with:mad:.....it strikes me the landlord is just as bad....if they are such 'nice people' it's a shame they can't go and live next door to him....
I agree with Clue..i understand some folk might be wary of wanting to speak up but surely it's human nature to help those that are suffering as they must be themselves...you need the other nieghbours on side....:blue thumb:.....

This can really affectall your health...i've just had all this with the couple who live next door to my elderly parents which is mild in comparison...but my mum was so ill...to the extent of having to have a brain scan...i have never been so scared in all my life....luckily all was well:phew: but 'stress' was the top and bottom of it.....
The neighbours now have a new born baby so they have simmered down a bit...god help that child.....
I digress sorry.....keep on at the council and the police and make a proper nuisance of yourself if you have to:thumbsup:

The landlord is actually bringing the Polish people into our house later, which I don't agree with as they're strangers and we know absolutely nothing about them.

I've told my parents I don't want to be there, as I don't believe it will change anything, if I'm honest, and I don't want them to keep bringing my 'vile texts' into the conversation.

EDIT: And there would never be circumstances where he could bring in people who have nothing to do with your house, unless he is showing them around with a view to renting it to them, which he can't do if you are still within the terms of a tenancy agreement.

Hang on what? How can he do that? Is he your landlord as well? If not then what can he do? If he is, he is legally obliged to give you 2 full days notice if he needs access to your house, he can only do it twice a year for non-essential reasons (inspections etc), and he has to give you 'reasonable notice' of access for essential reasons. The latter being things like an emergency repair to the property.

I fear my dad's going to give them too much leeway. He's already told the landlord 'I don't have a problem with them, they just can't play music at 2am'

and then the woman landlord said 'if they stop playing music, will that be the end of this?'

and my dad said yes, but then she said 'that's not what Kyle thinks'

                        I text her saying I won't rest until they're evicted, and I won't.

It is always best to find a compromise, within reason. A 2AM curfew on loud music is not a valid compromise. I'd say it is to be expected that the occasional party will happen, where the noise will continue until 2AM, but that should be no more than once every few months, and it is common courtesy to politely let the neighbour's know in advance.

At the same time though, if they are prepared to change their ways, it is not fair to remain adamant that they must be evicted, unless of course either the change is not enough to bring them into the bounds of normality, or the change doesn't last.
