Annual meadow grass

    I have several patches over my lawn of what I believe is annual meadow grass. What is the best way to try and remove this as I assume it will only get worse if left with seeding.

    For any patches of unwanted coarse grasses in the lawn we use a razor sharp thin blade knife and just slash it repeatedly, a lot of it will just come away and it will stuggle to come back , if it does, just repeat.
