20200514_122724.jpg 20200514_122719.jpg Another cucumber question please. I know with tomatoes you nip off the little shoots growing between the thicker stems (not sure if that is the correct term) do I have to nip of these little ones that are growing on this cucumber plant, they do look more like they are going to flower and so i did think that that was where it would fruit from? But it's not a terribly big plant yet so didnt think the fruit side would develop as yet? ....apologies for being gormless. Thanks in advance ATTACH=full]139701[/ATTACH] 20200514_122719.jpg

What variety are you growing? If an all female variety then NO! if not, then just take out the male flowering buds (unless of course you like bitter cucs), someone will be along to explain in more detail, I know the difference between male and female but because I hate cucumber I don't really pay much attention to them (only grow them for the other half).

      The growths are the flowers.
On my phone so can't see clearly.

Male flowers are a flower bud on a thin stem, females have a slightly knobbly bulge behind the flower bud.

                      Aren't most courgettes bush plants?

It looks a bit trailing to me, could it be a squash?
