Solved Any idea? 5ft tall...

    I kept well away from this up till now.
    It needed more research.
    I agree it is Campanula sp...but which one? Hmm! They all look so alike.

    There seem to be 2 main contenders.
    I have now looked them up...in
    "Campanula A Gardeners Guide" by Peter Lewis and Margaret Lynch........and can try to give simple/easy tip.

    Campanula Latifolia ..quote..."both leaf and stem are slightly hairy."
    whilst.
    Campanula pyramidalis ..quote "is glabrous"...ie without hairs.

    I cannot see any evidence of hairs, so am opting for Campanula pyradimalis.
    Hope this helps
    But I may be wrong!

      Thanks @Silver surfer that was the reason I though pyramidalis too as I have some in my garden.. ;)

      Ok I think it is solved now @wiseowl Woo and looks like we were right all along as Silver surfer has just confirmed ;)
