Thank you, maybe even I won’t manage to kill it before I find it a new home. I had a look at the link you kindly supplied. The ones Burncoose are selling are in 1 to 1.5 ltr pots, mine is in a 5 ltr pot so considerably bigger. I will advertise it once the flower come out and:fingers crossed: it makes a few bob.

My god I advertised the lilies for £15 the pair about an hour ago on Facebook Marketplace. Had 8 enquires and now sold to the first person who enquired about them and had to say sorry to 6 people. Perhaps I sold them too cheap!!!? Anyway they are being picked up tomorrow and off to their new home. Good!

It often seems to be luck in getting the right person seeing your ad.
I've come across some interesting people locally by trying to sell stuff, also found some I'm not so sure I want to know.

Oh you made me splutter on my 2nd or is it the 3 glass of vino collapso @pete. Selling plants on the likes of FB marketplace is a fairly safe bet. On the other hand I made the huge mistake of advertising my Subaru Impreza on there. Wowcha, it attracted the dregs of society, within a day I had had my life threatened if I would not sell for half I was asking which was not a lot and had 3 extremely dodgy “ tyre kickers” visit. After less than 24 hours I removed the advert and took advantage of a scrappage scheme that was being run by Ford. I am no “ shrinking violet” but there is a limit and I reached that. Now the proud owner of a wee Ford Connect van which has caused me zero problems bought through the scheme. Ok don’t have the boy racer look any more but at well over 70 maybe time to be boring and grow up!

You must try to keep count at least.

You'd probably meet a better class of person if you was selling a Reliant Robin.

Just a wee update on my Peace Lily saga. The person who was meant to be buying the lilies for £15 messaged me to say they could not get someone to give her a lift to pick them up and did I mind keeping them for another 3 weeks as she was going on holiday. For god’s sake :rolleyespink: they are out there.
So I politely through gritted teeth told the person to go and get stuffed! A friend visited and saw the lilies which were absolutely huge and said £15 was way too little. To take better photos and re-advertise for £50 the pair. Bingo, within about 5 minutes someone who lives down the road from me bought and paid for them. I delivered them yesterday as I have a wee van. Yes they were that big it would have been a struggle to get in a car! Happy days, the money ( sold the Clivia for £20 as well) will be going to a local greyhound rescue centre. These are the lilies and no the standard size bottle of fizz was not included! 7FBA2022-B01D-4104-B8FB-FC86FAF9AAEB.jpeg

Nice result. They look far bigger in that picture than they did in the first.

Recently have seen a common or garden Lupin at the garden centre for £14.99 in a 170mm pot.
Everything seems expensive to some of us (!!!); perhaps its the recollection of Watneys Starlight @ 1/10d per pint.

Some of the Garden Centre prices make me think "I'm sitting on a fortune at home"!

That's more a case of childhood eyes remembered an adult, everything was bigger, brighter and "better" when we were young.

Mars bars are definitely smaller, bought some twix the other day and they have shrunk for about the fourth time.

I think some of it is down to multipacks, they have always been smaller, even packets of crisps .
