Hi BekiMac. My sister (Kedi-Gato from Germany on GC) bought me the Victoria in October last year and it's twenty foot tall now. I also have a Caerula meeting up with it from another direction.

The Quads are very popular here but I haven't seen one for sale yet. Well done your man! Had a Pinnastiupulata (spelling probably wrong without looking it up) shocking pink one last year but it didn't survive ... apparently my dry heat is the worst place it can be. Shame, it was beautiful.

We have a couple of threads going here about Passion Flowers.

    Nice to have you along.

Hi LOL, just looked up the Passiflora pinnatistipula, shame you lost it, it looks dainty, but hey, you can't win 'em all eh. Have you pruned either of yours? I have cut mine big Caerula back to try and bush it out a bit, but my man said I'd massacred it! But I'm making it up as I go along, as with most of my gardening ( other than occasional hints & tips off my Mum, lol). It seems to have started filling out a bit now though, so fingers crossed. It grows well in our council-estate clay & brick filled earth!

Well, I can't get rid of the Caerula which I actually brought from the Isle of Wight with me. It's a nightmare, shooting up everywhere. I pulled up two foot long shoots today from between paving slabs.

The Victoria is contained in a concrete trough. There's a picture of my beauty of a P pinastipulata in my Passion Flower thread, a real beauty.

I don't prune mine here, they are basically evergreen but get a bit straggly.

The problem I now have is with Cobaea (Cup and Saucer Vine) taking over everywhere ... a worse nightmare!

I have red clay here. [IMG]
