Anyone Tried To Grow Any Of These Vegetables And Salads

    Hi Everyone,
    Just wondering whether anybody has grown any of the following vegetables and salads and if you have do you have any tips for growing them as I'm going to attempt to grow these next season and any tips or help would be most appreciated :
    Beetroot (Detroit 2)
    Climbing Bean (Cobra)
    Coriander (Cilantro)
    Cucumber (Petita F1)
    Leek (Autumn Mammoth 2 - Snowstar)
    Parsnip (White Gem)
    Radish (Scarlet Globe)
    Sweet Corn (Swift F1)

    Well, I'm having a lot of success with Coriander, the others I don't have room for!! But will probably try leeks next year,

    I grew the radish Scarlet Globe in poor soil and it was GREAT.I will definately be growing it again when i get my garden sorted out. [​IMG]

    I grew loads of coriander from seed on my window sill last year. Its really very bushy when it gets going. Gets thirsty too.

    Hiya,

    I have grown Coriander as i love it in salads and other cooking requirements. Let me know how you get on with the vedge and i may be brave enough to try next year. My 16 year old loves cucumbers, he will quite literaly sit with a whole one and munch it right up during a film (the boy is in the top 5% in England for physics and math - could it be due to his intense love of cue's, the mind boggles, he's been at them since the age of 5) [​IMG]
