Was in my pond yesterday pruning the iris and removing some weed that was created by the devil himself. :wallbanging:
Had to put up a fish line perimeter guard to keep the monstrous heron at bay aswell as having the pond netted all year.
Was removing some more weed when i noticed some fish eggs in there so a halt to the proceedings.
The pond is slightly cloudy but i think its just nature waking up after winter and it will settle down again as normal. The fish seem happy hungry and frisky and no doubt will much 99% of the frog spawn again. I think the little bleeders have eaten more of my young lilly plants again :fishing:

Glad your ponds settling in nicely @Apple Blossom and I enjoyed reading the above comments too @ARMANDII
      Happy Water gardening :yahoo:

I had a small pump and it was not very efficient, I had a couple of tench to feed of the bottom. A very good filter with built in UV and an air pump.
I had some fish breed successfully and a clear pond, I had a sturgeon to eat off the sides.
I still took over a week after a clean up, but now I have a bucket with water in it until the dogs drinks it all. :roflol:

Funny you should say Sturgeons, I was thinking of getting one.

The pond is looking much better although I am with my bramble still taking out the weed. I've put 4 of the organic barley straw bales in now and it seems to be doing ok at the moment. The water is crystal clear but still getting a lot of sunlight... Hopefully this will help all the new plants come along :)

I had a 6" tiddler which grew to a 2ft monster, had to redesign my pond to stop him getting out
