B l e e ding of radiators

Often does the trick too!
Our CH system always seems to gather a lot of air after being off during the summer. I have to bleed all the radiators and pump (takes ages) and sometimes find that a couple still don't heat at all due to the small pin in the thermostatic valves sticking. A couple of wallops with a hammer on the metal coupling next to the thermostats does the trick. Its a technique called percussive maintenance :D

Shiney Mr Kandy used the brass key with a pair of pliers and gave it a good wack.It then turned the valve bit at the top which released the air..Job done
