    Scrungee, I read your book scan and found it quite interesting. It shows how much cooking methods have changed though, for example I didn't realise that they used to cook food by setting it alight (the guide table has a heading "time on fire":)

    And it wasn't that long ago either, dinner time yesterday as I recall.



    EDIT: I forget to mention how handy a hay box is for going on holiday in a caravan, as you'll have a hot dinner ready to unpack and eat when you reach your destination/get back home.
