Jack, although I'm not saying anything against them, and the price seems to be a fantastic deal, but it looks like the 'properties' are static caravans that have been fancied up!

I have to say, if I wanted to buy in Spain, I would buy one ... no questions asked. I have five properties in Portugal with a no risk factor but although we don't want to buy in Spain, we know the area and I certainly would give a ... :dbgrtmb:

I wouldn't turn my nose up at a static caravan. In fact before we bought our house, we did actually consider getting a residential static to live in. Logic being there's enough room to live in them, they are a lot cheaper than a house, and they tend to be in more scenic settings.

So, you can pay several hundred quid per month on a mortgage for a house and pay it for the best part of your life, or you can spend half that per month, over maybe 4 or 5 years.

Unfortunately the wife wasn't too enthusiastic. She wanted bricks and mortar.

I was talking to Chopper about mobile homes the other day, he'd looked into it & while they are cheaper than a house to buy, the ground rent came to over £6k a year. You'd be paying that much if you had a mortgage.

In Spain (saydo) the site fees are euro 60pm

The UK is different, no matter where or what you live in, they will screw £250k off you somehow wether mortgage, or rent/rates

When the estate agent came to view my house he gave me 2 prices, the price it is worth and which you will probably get eventually if you hang on long enough, and the price at which it would sell quickly.
