      The blooms are only removed if the stems get damaged for some other reason. Otherwise, they are never removed. Part of the reason is that summer winds tend to blow the scent into the area we will eat or drink outside during summer. Think hot and breezy summers day, glass of wine, and the scent of roses. Heaven!

        Sounds lovely Sandy Ground, the scent of roses is so evocative of a Summer’s day, and I am an inveterate rose sniffer whenever I come across them.
