For some you may say that Clueless, but I think the reality is, people's attitude today is "don't get involved" ignore the nutty person, lets not do anything or lets not do anything, not my business. It is easier once the person shot himself and is dead to then say something.

For example, and this really happened to me. I was pulling up to my parking spot at work and my eye caught a red headed boy bobbing up and down on the side of the parking lot. I looked around, no adult. I went over to him, to discover, he looked about 3 years old, just playing in the low water, only wearing a diaper. Still no adult anywhere and I waited there for about 5 mins. Near enough to my office, I used my cell called one of my co-workers and she came out. We both took the boy inside the office and called the police. NOW ---here is the point of all this---- In another part of the office---a staff person was over hearing the story---and said "oh yes, I saw him playing there" I sternly looked at her and said---And you did NOTHING???. Then I alerted her supervisor that she has a staff person in one of her group homes that will be an issue. She is no longer there.
By the way, the parent finally showed up at the office (after 30 mins) police had a long discussion with him.
That sums it up Clueless -- people in general will do NOTHING, when they see something abnormal.
