I think many remain voters will have changed their minds having seen the disgusting way the Europeans have treated the British people and its Prime Minister.

Calling for and holding another referendum will destroy many peoples faith in democracy in this country which Will open a can of particularly nasty worms that will make the last 2 years look like a minor squabble .

Possibly but I don't think so, Wee Tam. It's our Government that have lied to us and screwed us over and basically made a complete mess of the whole thing.

I expect Jeremy Corbyn to go very quite about demanding a general election shortly as he has only 3 weeks left to get a motion of no confidence in the government passed, or the UK will automaticallly leave the EU during the period when parliament would be dissolved before polling day.

          Unless that's his cunning plan?

I haven't read it in full to be honest - kinda given up on the whole thing. From what I have seen of it, it seems to be a reasonably good deal, with the exception of no time limit on the backstop and what appears to be a situation where we are left tied to the EU at their behest.

It is, but I think that Wee Tam has a fair point - I for one would have already had my faith in democracy all but destroyed by this, and if they head for another referendum, that is it for me. The problem comes with people who are less able to rationalise the situation than perhaps you and I are. I am about to head to work, but will elaborate later if you wish.

Oh now come on freddy, admit it, you made that one up;)
I mix with some pretty hard line people regarding leaving the EU but I've never come across that.

It was probably a non PC joke which was taken as said, rather than in the context it was meant, we all walk on egg shells these days.

When did a government not lie to us?
It's what all governments do, they call it a manifesto.
Its down to us to use our intelligence, to see through it, and hopefully vote for the least rubbish bunch of idiots available.

Which is why I dont agree with the Labour plan of getting 16 yr olds to vote, they just haven't been around long enough to see through the scum. ;)

@pete , I can't believe you have not come across the " my lifes a failure let's blame a foreigner " brexit brigade. Majority of brexiteers made a reasoned democratic decision . But there was a racist element of leave voters.
Now back to the Canary Islands :snorky:
