yea, I can't argue with any of that, I actually posted a picture of my dog with me voting on facebook and I said it is a vote that should never been taking place. I'll reword, we should have a vote on the information we now have rather than the unicorns offered in 2016.

I think the problem lies with the politicians... No one..... Absolutely no one...outlined how difficult it would be to leave the EU after having been members since 1st January 1973...!

No one explained to the majority of the electorate what it would meanto leave the EU... Thank you Farage.....!!
You excited people to vote on something they knew nothing about...

Teresa May has taken this on permanently as David Davis did not fulfil negotiations so TM has taken it on personally since Davis left..... Trouble is TM can and will trust nobody... So how can she get a good deal.?
She is blinkered her deal is best.... She does not listen to anyone now....!

Her deal is sadly lacking and she is going to drop us all in the S... ..!

Jeremy Corbin is not capable of running a country as embroyaled in an
    Anti-Semitism Crisis...!

    So what is our answer???????

I would love it if someone could takeover who had a good answer to explain it to me.....

Sick of TM being crap and not listening.....

I have said all of this before, but here it is again.......

Politicians lie - it is part of the job description, and anyone who places their vote solely on the basis of what a politician has said (or even written down), is frankly lining themselves up for disappointment.

This whole thing, and other events around the world (Trump being elected, the protests in France and other parts of Europe for example), boil down to one fairly simple thing - people are sick and tired of being lied to, fined, taxed, all whilst seeing their living standards dropping and their public services being destroyed.

Part of the problem, in my opinion, is the fact that politicians can no longer hide behind press releases and annual statements - we have the internet now, so we can find things out when we want and we can discuss things among ourselves, and slowly but surely all their lies, deception and corruption has tumbled out and it is catching up with them.

Like it or not, there was a democratic process undertaken and the remit of that process was very clear - do we stay in the EU, or do we leave the EU, and the vote returned the answer that we leave the EU.

At no point (and I have asked on numerous occasions) did anyone come out and tell us what was so good about being in the EU - all they did do (and are continuing to do) is try to scare us witless with warnings of what 'might' happen. The amount of time, energy and effort that has gone into trying to reverse the decision of the vote in 2016 is quite ridiculous. In fact, if that same amount of time, energy and effort had been thrown into getting us out of the EU and into the future of the country, we would be in a much better position than we are now.

Not strictly true, FC.....Longk has been a mine of information on the real facts and figures of the benefits of EU membership :) I'm sure that there are other, impartial sources, if one searches with an open mind

What a shock it will be! A second referendum with the same result!
Folks I have spoken with have mostly not changed their minds.
Politicians, bankers, fat cats and the like don’t want any changes and they are determined to scare us.....the UK would have thrived outside of Europe, of that I am convinced
I voted to leave; yes, I knew what I was voting for. Our fishermen knew what they voted for.
It will go down as the biggest betrayal of our democracy but we will not be allowed to leave the EU

Its not so much facts and figures that is needed, not least as they can be massaged greatly depending on how they are collated. I 'get' the freedom of movement thing, and the freedom of trade, but neither of those things (to me) seem to be all that difficult to arrange if the will is there to do so. As usual, the problem is the people that would make any of the arrangements.

Sadly, I think that is what it actually boils down to, and I believe that this is under a lot of the unrest - the rich have been getting richer, and richer for a very long time now and the chasm between them and those of us in the working classes has widened to such a point, it is quite remarkable. The real problem is, the working classes can see it, and they can also see that they are paying for it all, and have had enough.

Do I dislike/hate people from other parts of Europe? Not one bit. Do I dislike/resent them working here in the UK? Not at all. And that will not change even after we leave the EU.

The problem is the British peoples have always been a nation of serfs. We moan and moan and moan and moan, get angry, then moan, give up, moan a bit more, and then vote for the same peolple again and again.

Then some think they will get their revenge on the political elite by not voting in the next election to show the system theyve had enough :loll:.

        A nation of serfs.

I noticed tonight on the news that the NHS are jumping in on "project fear" now in a big way.
Apparently all the nurses and doctors we have are from the EU and they are going back home.

Not had much contact with the NHS recently but most I've found most actually come from outside the EU, that's not to say that "some" aren't from the EU.

Now, are we robbing poorer EU countries of their doctors and nurses?
If so why? and mostly, is that a good thing?

I really dont understand what the EU is about, apart from allowing poorer countries to join, in order to rob their workforce and get cheap labour.
I guess it keeps us going, but I do struggle with the ideas behind it all.
It's gone on for a long time so will be difficult to break.

At the same time it has stopped us standing on our own feet.

I partly blame the education system here, where by little Johnny goes to university, even though he is a gormless idiot, he then takes a gap year and wonders why he cant get a job in the media, or some such other pointless position.

So MP's are voting to get more of a say on brexit.

It's because MP's have had a say ( thanks Miss Miller ) that we're in this mess in the first place.

            ( in my opinion ).
