Later than our usual February visit but the weather looked good enough although there was still a cool wind.
Brownsea had it's own village at one time and this impressive church.

A Pottery thrived during the 18/1900's and boats left from the pier and the surrounding beach is mainly broken pots.

The lagoon was very quiet and nothing new apart from 30 odd returning Sandwich Terns along way off and several Shovelers.

Plenty of Red Squirrels about but these two were raiding the bird feeders by the Villa.

Good views of a Tree Creeper in the woods.

Thank you for taking us on a photographic tour of Brownsea Island
I would forgive any red squirrel who wanted to have a feast on my bird feeders!

Fantastic shots of the tree creeper - just look at the size of his rear "claw" huge!!!
I suppose that is to aid his grip so I won't send him a voucher for a manicure :heehee:

@"M" Strange that in some of Europe it lives side by side with the Short Toed Tree Creeper which I imagine doesn't have such a good grip and probably keeps falling off!!:smile:

Last October when we went the Squirrels had moulted a lot of red hair and looked half grey, now they have their lovely bright red colour back.:blue thumb:
