I had some stick to me and I've packed the clothing away and not noticed till I got home.
    Steve what are these plants?
I like a good mystery to solve.

The nearest I can get to it from searching on the net is a Catalpa

the leaves definitely look the same and the description of the pods sounds like the ones that dropped off the tree and stuck in my hair and then germinated when I got home and had a bath ;)

Indian bean tree eh. Do the leaves have a bad smell when crushed, a bit like old trainers that have seen better days.?

A friend of mine approached our local zoo (Whipsnade in Bedfordshire) and they were very happy to have her overgrown plant to put into one of the warm animal enclosures.

I think I can aswer that one, what you should do to keep it on topic is slip a reference in now and again, says steve while glancing towards the opuntia microdasys rufida perched on his windowsill

    Pete,

The raeson the title still says cacti, is because you named it cacti when you started the fresh topic(about cacti ;) ) , when you want to discuss different plants etc, you have to name the topic, that topic name will stay for the life of the thread.

    Thanks

    Nathan.
