Solved Can anyone help me ID this tree, please?

    I do hope that our comments have helped Christina and her mum.

    Getting perhaps a bit sentimental, but I have always considered trees to be the Monarch of the plant kingdom. Why so? Because at whatever stage of their life, and in whatever season they are observed. Each one offers so, so much to the eye of the beholder. Then of course the aging transformation etc. I often find myself saying. 'If only that tree could speak'
    Perhaps My Hon. friend. Wise Owl can remember that very ancient tree, was it an oak, in Greenwich Park, that Queen Elizabeth 1 sat and rested under.
