Can I move Lavender now ? It isnt doing too well and I think it needs better drainage. It's in a lowish bit full of rich compost, and I want move it to the border where its on a slope in poorer soil & full sun.
Also can I move mint now ? I want to take it out of the open garden & shove it in the bit where the lavender is. Its 3 smallish cuttings I recently planted.

Lavender doesn't like wet feet, so moving it now is probably a good plan. It is still fairly early yet so I doubt if it has properly woken up yet, so it probably wont suffer too much as long as you don't damage the roots too much.

As for the mint, personally I'd give it a bit longer to get some good roots on it. If it is from a recent cutting it may not have enough of a root system to handle the trauma very well.

That's great, ta. I'm 1000ft up on open moorland so things here will be a wee bti behind you, and the lavender should be safe then. Now if it would only stop raining....!
