    HI Tony,

    :sign0016:

    Welcome to Gardeners Corner :)

    I'm not sure but I think it could be a Euphorbia of some sort. I think one of the Tropical experts on here could probably help you more. @longk or @pete are your best bets.

    PS... I love your wallpaper :)

    Dont really have a clue to be honest.:biggrin:
    Looking at the leaves, I'd be guessing, but think it might be something in the Protea family.

    Other than that,............:scratch::)

      I think that Pete is close with that. I'm going with one of the Leucodendron species.

        I've just had a look and I agee with Longk. It looks just like a Leucadendron, and it says they're grown for the cut flower
        Industry.

        These and Proteas are often seen in quality bouquets, they are popular in Madeira gardens.

          These plants aren't cold hardy, most garden centre's won't stock them for that reason, your best bet will be to pick one up from a nursery which specialises in more "interesting" plants...

          They would be happy in sunny position in the garden during the summer but they would need to come inside during the colder parts of the year as I should think anything less than 5°c would not be good for it

            Not a hope in hell I'm afraid. It is available from specialist nurseries, mostly Cornish based. Reason being that it is not hardy.
