I have some Bears Breeches seed ( sorry can't think of it's proper name..something beginning with A  ). I do like the look of them but I have heard that they can become invasive and once established they are hard to get rid off. Hubs would never forgive me ,he's still getting over the Ox- Eyed Daisies that self seed absolutely everywhere!!!...including his precious lawn!!!!

I was wondering as to whether they could be grown in pots, this would at least solve the problem of their roots spreading out of control.

Any thoughts or words of wisdom please.:thankyou:

I've heard the same but ours don't spread or become a nuisance - but if Mrs Shiney told them not to be a nuisance then they wouldn't dare! :heehee:

Thanks everyone... Not sure which seeds I have, I might leave it then as I would hate things to get out of control. Have to admit the Ox-Eyed Daisies were ( and still are) an absolute pain in the butt...they are popping up everywhere still . I still have 2 clumps of it as I like it , but hubs wants did of them.

Once again thanks for all your replies :thankyou:

I grow Acanthus hungaricus and it doesn't sucker, the clump slowly bulks up, although if you try to remove it any bits of root left sprout, I believe this is the case with other Acanthus species.
