    Washingtonias have sharp spines D remember that when you are trying to take the fleece off.
    The trouble with Washys is the constant need to repot due to the downward growth of the roots.
    Dave, I brought 6 4in seedlings back from a beach in Famagusta just over two years ago, they are now over 2 ft high and in 12in deep pots. They gow very fast under glass.:)

    I found that out when i planted it Strongy, it blo*dy hurt :p
