Cheers bilbo  ive just put another 15 or so into soak(in 3 diff cups,2 varieties) as i got to thinking with me having so many types to germinate there would'nt be enough room on top the fire to do them all at once,we have a our boiler in chimney breast so its the ideal place to keep the water warm:)
Ive labelled all my germination cups up today,16 left so i will do them during feb :)

Nope. Good find :) Interesting AboutUs describing how Virus outbreak was tackled, successfully (strict aseptic sterilisation of secateurs etc.)

I didn't find any images associated with varieties either.

There is a gallery, but the images appeared to be un-named ...

Thanks Joolz and mowgley you should email him and get him on this thread , I used have lots of different ones before the virus had the whole lot I am sure I had Cleopatra that was one of my favourites plus Pretoria, and Bengal Tiger cost me a mint to buy and ages to source , it was a good little earner for me in the spring as I used to sell all my surplus stock to a garden centre , and they had customers waiting for me to bring them in.

Now you have me tempted to get a couple , this is what happens on this forum.

Hi Spruce , is there any real difference between Pretoria and Bengal Tiger  Some sites list them as the same type.
Common Name Canna – Striata – Pretoria – Bengal Tiger, Malawiensis Variegata
I think others on here have mentioned that Cannas seem to have more names than types !

The name doesn't mean anything to me , but if I tell Evie and Elliot my youngest GK's I am growing a Pretoria , this will have zero response. If I tell them I am growing a Bengal Tiger , now that is uber cool !:hapydancsmil:
Photo is them with a Canna Tropicana in early May last year.....

Well that's 40 canna seeds chipped and in the soak for next 48hrs.
              10 of each
              Tropical white
              Bronze scarlet
              Musa grande
              Sky hawk
Hope that they don't all germinate other wise some of you might be getting some freebies!
