It appears you are correct, getting scorching on the white parts as you say.

I've moved it into a position that gets morning sun but not the afternoon sun, hope that works.

Tomorrow I'll post a close-up, in the sunshine.

In fact the foliage has some yellow streaks and dots, so I watch it closely (Yellow Streak Virus)

You beat me to it Peter........I will purchase only virus certified stock.
But this is one I want too.....
I am watching my varieties too for signs of virus...."they" reckon it came from Dutch nurserymen.
Look forward to your picture in the sunshine

              Hi, Verdun
Today is sunny here in DK - photo taken 15 min ago.
I have bought rhizomes in UK 3 times. Always virus-free.
              --
But i got a few plants from dealers here - and got the virus as well.
The plants looked healthy when I got them.
"a bad deal" one famous US politician would say. :-)

Like it Peter.....must have it too :)
Yes, I made enquiries about cannas recently and asked if they had virus free stock. Apart from Hart Cannas all they claimed was they are supplied as clean plants. The risk is too great not to be 100%

I suggest that we swap, later this year, if the virus allows.
When I lift my plants, usually in November, I could mail 2-3 Louis Cayeux rhizomes in a letter, and you could mail some Durbans in the opposite direction.

The postage from Denmark to Cornwall for a 250 gr. letter would be £ 4.50
