Chilli Plants Flower But Then Drop Off

Hi there! I have a problem with my chilli plants flowering and then dropping off. One of my plants must have sprouted 10+ blooms and then one by one they turn brownish and drop off. The leaves were looking pretty healthy, it was getting water. I heard Chillis need to be pollinated and this plant is indoors so I brushed the flowers lightly with a little paint brush.

I watered occasionally with Doff Liquid Seaweed Fertiliser but only when the soil felt dry as I heard chillis like some dryness.



Here's the plant now; the leaves have turned a bit yellow since then but when it was flowering it was looking fine.

 

Just to clarify, the plant was indoors but after all the flowers dropped off I moved it outdoors as punishment.

 

I'd move it back indoors, chillies don't normally do well outside it's not warm enough.
I'd suggest too much water and the roots are rotting.

 

If move indoors chillis are also.very sensitive to high temperature
and as mentioned dont over water and feed i once tryed to grow chilli but with no success so personally chillis are not for me

 

Looking again at the leaves.
Red spider mite is a possibility, but early to be that bad.

 

I have 4 sweet chilli plants in greenhouse seem to doing ok not had any flowering yet, only 12" tall, first time I`ve had a go with these so don`t know what to expect keep them near the door so hopefully wont get too hot.

 

I assume you mean sweet peppers, slightly different to chillis.

Have you thought of putting shading on the greenhouse if you think its possibly too hot.

 

Magnesium deficient? Spray some epsom salts on them and feed with some tomorite maybe ?
