My faher-in-law has already said he fancies a few seedlings, rather than fruits. So I'll give him one Trini and two each of the Cayenne and Habanero. The second wave which I hope to move from the sprouter in a week to ten days, contains fatalii chocolate, pepper lemon drop and Carolina reapers. So I'll take a couple of them down to him, when the time comes.

Oh, I just saw that you're a staff member. I was only kidding, honest! :-)

Actually, I do fancy visiting the Open Garden. I looked at your profile and saw that you're on the Herts/Essex border. I confess to not knowing that those two counties even had a border, but as I hail from north of Hadrian's Wall, I've got a ready made excuse!

Well right now, I'm sitting chez nous in Kent. But I promise you I still have the harsh, uncouth accent of the Scot.

I do believe that we shall come up there. I've asked Mrs Mac via Signal message (which sounds vaguely military, but just means I don't trust WhatsApp since they were bought by Facebook). Google Maps says it's a 54 minute drive from us, around the M25 and up. I shall PM you once 'er indoors has confirmed.

Alternatively, how far are you from a train station, and how easy is it to get to that train station from London? We could cycle it into London, catch a train and then cycle it to yours.

We're 1 1/2 miles from the station on a straight (winding :heehee:) road. Train direct from Liverpool Street Station. Getting across London would be the main problem.

Car is much easier :dbgrtmb:. Dartford Tunnel - M25 - M11 - 15 minutes max once off the M11. It's always better to come early to avoid the Tunnel traffic (Lakeside) and, although I haven't checked yet to see if it's on, the airshow at Duxford pulls a lot of traffic later. Aiming to arrive at 10.30 would be good. An early chance at the plants for sale (we sell about a thousand in a day), tea/coffee, home made cakes and cream teas are a good start as well. Entertainment starts at 10.30. We have a separate reserved table for GC members and some of them bring plants for swapping.

Sorry for going off topic, folks. Just this one more post

It's a matter of 'work in progress'. It takes up a lot of space and time.
