They take time. I may have started ours before you did. I also talk to them nicely. :)

Sowed my chillies on the 5th of Feb. Just noticed little flower buds on the Tam Jalapenos :blue thumb: Potted up to 125mm pots yesterday, I'll pot up to the final 25cm pots in late April.

I have some seeds in the sprouter. Reckon I should abandon them, or is there still some time to get them into pots and hope for some fruit this year?

Give them a few days to settle down and for a few more flowers to form and then you can give them a light feed. Tomato feed is good enough for chillies. :blue thumb:

There's still some time but they will just be later and may not fruit until late summer. I thought you were already having problems with space. If so, why are you bothering with more?

I'm somewhat disappointed by the weather this year so far. Even if by the figures, there isn't that much difference between 2018..

            .. and 2019...

Maybe last year, since I didn't have any homegrown chilis, I was less concerned.

@shiney the seeds germinated but they are stalled at the first two little leaves. I've got them near a window so hopefully they'll rally some strength. Maybe they are keeping a low profile until they get the lay of the "new" country :)

@CanadianLori they often seem to stop at the two leaf stage for a couple of weeks then get to the four or six leaf stage fairly quickly, slow down a bit and then take off. Light and warmth is what they like, but not too hot. 22C - 24C is fine. :blue thumb:

Thank you @shiney. I've got them the kitchen window and it's usually around 72f in that area.
