Haven't had much growth on the Naga or scotch bonnet, but at least they're still going.

I do find that when they're that small they take a long time to get going.

@Logan I've a feeling I was over watering so I've stopped giving them so much, but quite happy to wait for them to do it in their own time.

Look good @Logan, just reminded me my nagas aren't nagas they're reapers.

Although different cultivars they are the same family Capsicum chinense. All the hotest chillies are from the same group but just cross bred differently.

All of the chinense group (includes both of those) are slow to get going and later to fruit.

Keep an eye on them and when they have settled down (you may want to support the one on the right for awhile) keep an eye on their roots. When the roots grow out of the bottom you can pot them on to 3 litre pots.

Smilies aren't working for me at the moment!

I said they would be fairly quick to develop. Once the flowers have developed fruit then you should start to give them a light feed of tomato feed. As the chillies are sharp pointed and grow upwards they may grow straight through the flower head. This may eventually look like the chilli is rotting but it's just the petals caught on the chilli and they are going brown. They won't harm the chilli but you can gently take them off if you wish.

We developed them from the Capsicum frutescens family. They should develop a lot of fruit quite quickly.

Hi folks, my first year growing chillies after buying a house. I have 2 fantastic, South facing, windows to grow on. (Plan was to have a greenhouse but put off to next year).

I decided to grow the following:
                              Aji Limon
                              Apache F1
                              Razzamatazz
                              Prairie Fire
                              Pretty Purple
                              Purple Princess
                              Thai Hot
                              Demon Red

With the initial greenhouse plan I ended up with 36 plants but I have now given away the majority, keeping 1 of each and an extra Razzamatazz. All have now fruited, my favourite to look at is Prairie Fire (see photo). I have really enjoyed the growing process, now have a massive list for next year

@CanadianLori any fruit on yours yet? :)

We've been eating ours for a few weeks now, not all that many, but they're ripening pretty quickly now.
