    Hi,

So I am getting ready to tackle my dock infested back garden, to get it ready to plant some veg this season. I want to avoid putting the plot out of commission for the season and have been researching organic ways to clear the weeds.

I'm slowly mentally preparing my self to go dig up each and every root, but I've come across a few remedies and was wondering if you guys could tell me if they would work or make things a bit easier.

1.) Boiling water? Will this kill the roots? or are the tap roots to deep to be that effected by it?

2.) newspaper lasagna. How long does this method usually take? I was having trouble finding a clear article about it.

One other thing I should note... I'm currently in a rented property and using the garden to keep myself busy during my job hunt and distracted from depression. So it's safe to say, I'll probably be moving in a year and a bit, so I could probably do with just clearing them temporarily for the season.

I appreciate any advice you can give me! Thanks!

Sorry Nick but boiling water won't clear that lot.
I would spray it with weedkiller. That won't put it out of use for this year.
Good luck with your future plans.
