    I don't like to dead-head. I think those seed pods are really handsome.

    They are definately the seed pods, Nathan ... the 'thorn apples'. Let them dry out on the shrub before you pick them to get the seed. Well done!

    Nathan, please be aware that all parts of the thorn apple are poisonous. With your other plant and as it is a member of the solanum family of plants, they are sometimes known as climbers, but this is because they often need tying in to a support.
