I accept what you are telling me, and really I should not have expressed the opinion I did
I just have a normal family, and I am not an ogre, or totalitarian
I would hope that if at the time one of my daughters aged 15 had become pregnant, she would know that she could tell me or her mother, with confidence we would not go ballistic, and work through what needed to be done, I would I hope expect them to tell us rather than be so scared they end their life
The same with a Son who has maybe got in with the wrong crowd, become addicted to anything, or in deep finacial debt, to speak to me and not feel that the fear is so much it would be easier to end it all

Thus my summing up that IF it happened then I know who to blame was ME

I would rather we ended this discussion now, as maybe someone has lost someone this way, and been advised that it was they who were the cause would cause more stress

So I appologise and bow out

I lost a Grandfather and Uncle this way. I don't think you're an ogre, I laughed at the last part of your first post. Just didn't think you'd experienced it, that's all. Glad you haven't as well.

Other than that the family is normal. I think.

A very delicate subject. Thank you Gentlemen for keeping it under control. I have friends who have taken that path & its not something you'll ever fully understand.

Hope you don't mind if I close this thread now, as I feel this is something that should be discussed on a personal level.

Not saying I would close a thread that directly tackled the isssue though if anyone wants to start one, just think this one is straying a bit.
