I know that in the long cold winters of 2009 - 2010 (?) , I lost two lovely phormiums in large plastic containers. I always thought New Zealand flax was tough as old boots . My new one is in a large terracotta pot. All my plants appear to be OK so far.....

I hope I haven't lost my Agastache black adder :noidea: one of my absolute favourites last Summer & I should of been more organised with cuttings but the up keep of the garden was enough already

Definitely Harry :) It's probably my all time favourite plant, @Verdun introduced me, wonderful group of plants. Check out the Kudos varieties as well, quite different looking. Sharp drainage & lots of sunshine

Hard to tell just yet if Black Adder has survived....think they have. Blue Boa is a little hardier and the Kudos too
I think the real danger is prolonged cold wet weather so ......!!!

On edit an update......just checked Black Adder clumps and at least 2 are shooting. Warmish before the snow and warm since ....very warm today.....so they seem fine. :)

I made sure to add lots of grit to the planting hole and mulch with some in autumn, fingers crossed. Indeed, Kudos & my Blue Fortune are fine up until -20 and -25c.. hopefully won't be having any of that any time soon although last weeks -12 says otherwise :nonofinger:

I've looked at my camellia today the buds at the front have gone slightly smaller  but at the back they're lovely and fresh...the quicker this weather eases up the better :)
