This is something I've often pondered, and I know I'm not alone in that. Wouldn't it be great if there were more communal orchards about, where people could just go and collect their own fruit.

Quite famously, the town of Todmorden has done something like this with, by the sound of it, great success.

Then I read something on BBC news about kids being sent to school with packed lunches of pure rubbish.

It got me to thinking that maybe I should think about how to actually go about getting people involved in projects like community orchards and the likes.

    Thoughts?

I was going to get involved with this one,

But i've moved back home since her indoors moved out. I had been down & met folk there, gave them all a packet of Joolz's Parsley seeds & a GC Card each.

There is another orchard nearby, its got several varieties of apples, pears, blackcurrants and a Medlar tree. Did disturb a Hippy there, who looked very red faced about the fact he was having the lot away.
