compost bins

    i have several compost bins that need emptying ,im a bit worried as i have a fear of snakes,what is the likelyhood of this.please help!

    Very unlikely, Monty - I have never seen one in my life outside a zoo. They do exist, but they tend to want to get away from you, so in the unlikely event of there being one in your compost bins, it'll probably try to get away from you.

    If you're still worried, wear long trousers, and boots over the bottoms, and gloves - that'll help make you feel safer!

    More likely to be slow worms rather than snakes I would think, and they wont like being disturbed this early I shouldn't think. :D
    But whatever you find its bound to be harmless, and more scared of you, than you are, of it. [​IMG]
