containers

    Can anybody please help me I remember seeing a topic posted on containers people had made themselves from sand peat and cement I think I have been searching but can't now find it could somebody please put the ingredients etc on again for me as I fancy having a go at this

    Hi, T. I knew it was worth cutting the article out and keeping twenty years ago proabably :D ... here's your "recipe" for hypertufa, a man-made substitute for the real tufa, a calcareous, porous rock found in a few places in the UK.

    Mix equal parts of cement, sand and peat into a stiff paste. Mould a 1/2 inch (13mm) layer of hypertufa around the inside and outside of an old sink or other receptacle. Fill with soil or compost when dry.
