    What? WHAT? :yikes:
Mobile phone masts have been torched amid theories linking coronavirus to 5G

OK, I understand the psychological side of things that may seem very strange indeed to many of us. Conspiracy theories, the earth is flat, gossip... that's understandable. But for someone to actually take action, walk to the poles, gather bonfire material and set them alight is something way beyond my comprehension. I do hope this was a very elaborate joke or SM challenge.

I suppose we all handle things differently. My 'bags for life' are, more or less, that. I still have almost all the ones that I was given free when the scheme started about 20 years ago. I don't overload them so there's very little stress on them.

Apart from the very perishable shopping (meats etc.) all the shopping is left in our covered pergola for up to a week (we don't have a garage otherwise we would use that). The perishables are usually in sealed plastic outers. Those are washed thoroughly in soapy water.

Shopping is done wearing disposable gloves and after opening the boot of the car remotely (we have one of those peculiar cars where you can open or close the boot by running your foot beneath the bumper :rolleyespink:. although you look a bit stupid standing on one foot and waving your foot around :heehee:. Disposable gloves are then disposed of. Door handle and steering wheel wiped before and after use. Hands are washed thoroughly on arrival home.

I'm only going shopping every third week so not too much of a hassle.

I wear a mask but the downside to that is that my glasses steam up. I much prefer other reasons for them steaming up.

Plenty of people bemoaning 5G at the moment. Same happened with 4G and 3 G before that. Noone's head has yet fallen off because of it, maybe due to incessant nattering on the their 4G phones though..?
How anyone can link it to CV19 is a mystery!

                  "full"? Gulp!

I can open my boot from my phone APP ... and i can check where the mower is at the same time ... if I have armfuls of shopping I can handsfree phone the wife and ask her to open the boot from her APP instead. What could possibly go wrong?!

If I hear someone on the TV or social media say stay inside one more time I will probably go out and do the opposite.

For gods sake we all have got the message, now lighten up and just stop it.

The record is getting a bit worn out.

We just watched the movie Contagion ... very interesting, written by Scott Z Burns, filmed in 2011.

                    Quote from Wikipedia:
Public interest in Burns' 2011 film Contagion renewed during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, making it the seventh-most downlowded film on iTunes by March 6, 2020.[4][5] Interviewed by Variety about the film's resurgence and similarities to the active pandemic in March 2020, Burns said:

Every scientist who I spoke to when I worked on the movie said that exact same thing to me: It’s not a matter of “if,” it’s a matter of “when.” You can decide that most of the time, firemen are just sitting around. But it’s very hard to start a fire department once your house is on fire. And so the notion that we’re going to cut these things and we’ll just try to rebuild them when we need them is foolish and dangerous. I was very aware that our Department of Homeland Security had a pandemic team standing by because this is a real threat.

Like you Pete I think all sensible are fed up with this same message, sadly some are not listening, my neighbour has just told me (over the fence at least 15 ft away)that Ramsgate Town was packed this pm, also quite a few in the beach.

So the message is not getting through to these totally thick buggers.

Well I just think its getting people down, we have been banged up all winter and now they come out with this.
People don't mind being told what they can do, it's when you start telling them what they can't do that the problems start.;)

The longer it goes on the more trouble they are going to have, because let's face it, they can keep us banged up till christmas, but once they let us out it will all start up again.

I heard one report on the TV that a new outbreak was starting in China.
