I've been back to the beginning of November and can't find it there.

Facebook - World Health Organization (WHO)

Google can't find it anywhere on Facebook. Google suggests that's either be because it no longer exists, or it has been posted on a closed group

Oh well that's it then, might as well call it a day.
Its life Jim but not as we know it, might as well be dead anyway.;)

What a bunch of no hopers they are.
There are loads of diseases out there and , and always has been, but we carry on as normal.
Will we still be washing our hands in alcohol in 2 yrs time, still wandering around with masks on.

Still wont be able to use the bar in a pub, and sit outside freezing if you want a drink.

Well, I’m thinking that the vaccine will protect those that take it up. There will of course be those either won’t or can’t take it up. Don’t forget, the WHO are looking from a global point of view.

Agree, it is the "world" health organisation.

But they are not holding out much hope, or even looking slightly on the bright side, are they?

They're basically telling you the Truth, like it or not. I don't think anyone has truly thought that we'd return to normal Life even with the vaccines.:dunno:

I seem to recall they were pretty upbeat when the vaccine trials were announced? Anyway, since you’re so keen to get the drinks in, mines a pint of Thatchers ;)

That's better, sources should be checked, at least that's what the WHO say, this image for guidance is from their 'mythbusters' section of their website

I see Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus's comments in that ITV report to be mainly about those countries who'll have logistical problems (much larger than UK's) with mass vaccinations, the movement/migration of people, provision of cold storage facilities in many areas necesary for both a first dose, then the recipients hanging around for a second 2 weeks later, and the vaccines not being fully effective for another 6 weeks, etc., etc.

Even India reckons on 2 years to get 'everybody' vaccinated, how long for war torn failed states where rebels either shoot or kidnap vaccination teams, maintaining wells of infection with potential for vaccine resistant mutant strains, and with large numbers of their populations on the move to escape their situation and claim asylum?

My own view, looking purely from a selfish (national) angle, is that we should be able to get back to something like ‘normal’ life. The stumbling block will be those that can’t or won’t take up the vaccine, which is why it’s so important to dispel some of the anti-vax myths. I’ve even heard it said that C19 doesn’t exist

I know they dispel the "heard immunity" thing but that is what will eventually supress it to just another covid virus.
It will come, partly by vaccine, but I still think mostly by exposure.

They like to play it up, we dont know this, we dont know that, but there has to be a way out of this, its just a virus and we have lived with those since the first life on the planet. it will drop to acceptable levels I'm pretty sure.

Its another hole in the ozone layer, another energy crisis, another spanish flu.

The longer I live the more I find they like to play things up all the time.
Its because they think they can control everything and when something comes along that they cant, they panic big time.
